Testimonials

I had couple of broken tiles in the foyer in my shop, something that was very unattractive for my customers. My shop open early in the morning and close at late hours so I wasn't sure if I would find someone who could fix the tiles. Thank you Tile Cleaners Melbourne®, I appreciate that you agreed to come and fix my problem after hours. I will keep in touch in case I need your help in the future..

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs » Sealing Stone Floors

  • Q: How can I tell if my stone surface is sealed?
  • A: There is a simple test that can be performed in order for you to check if your stone, concrete or tiled floor has been sealed correctly, this is called the water test. Pour a little water onto the surface and level out with your finger and observe. If the water is absorbed then your surface is in need of sealing as soon as possible. However, if the water turns into small balls and is repelled then your surface has been sealed.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: Why should I clean my stone surface?
  • A: Natural stone products contain dirt, residues, dust and grime in their pores. These pores need to be cleaned well before any sealant is applied to the surface of the stone. If dirt etc. is trapped under the stone sealer sooner or later it will cause a milky white residue between the top of the stone and the underside of the sealer. The only way to remove this is to remove the stone sealer and clean.
    • Q: How do I measure the size of the area?
    • A: We recommend that you measure each area separately. The simplest way to measure is by multiplying the width by the length. For example a room that is 3 meters long and 2 meters wide is 3 X 2 = 6m2 in total.
      • Q: If I seal my grout, will it stay clean?
      • A: No - not without the correct cleaning. Grout is the low point and often the most porous part of the wall or floor, and gathers the grime and residue from mopping. Sealing your grout makes it easier to keep clean. With a good grout sealer or colourant, you will get a much better result when you give your grout a good clean with the correct cleaner.
